Born 4 November 1900 in Malnate, Italy. Died 22 July 1988 in New York. Emigrated to the United States in 1911. Studied painting at Cooper Union and the National Academy of Design. In 1932 one of his paintings was acquired by the Metropolitan Museumof Art. Won first prize at the Carnegie International in 1940.
